Kub Kar Specifications
These specifications supersede the rules contained in the Kub Kar Kits
Please note: The Pit crew are available to make minor modifications to Kars so please make sure that you take the time to ensure your car meets the specifications below
1) LENGTH – Overall length shall not be more than 7 inches or 177.8 millimetres.
2) WIDTH – Overall width shall not exceed 2 ¾ inches or 69.85 millimetres.
3) HEIGHT – Overall height shall not exceed 3 1/8 inches or 79.375 millimetres.
4) WEIGHT – Total weight shall not exceed 5 ounces or 141.75 grams.
5) CAR CHASIS – Shall clear the track by no less than 3/8 inches or 9.525 millimetres.
6) CAR CHASIS AT FRONT – Shall clear the track by no more than 5/8 inches or 15.875 millmetres.
7) INSIDE WIDTH – Between wheels shall not be less than 1 ¾ inches or 44.45 millimetres.
8) GRAPHITE will not be allowed under ANY circumstances.
9) NO LOOSE MATERIAL of any kind is permitted on the Kar. The Kar may be hollowed out and built up to a maximum
weight by the addition of metal, etc. provided it is SECURELY BUILT INTO THE BODY OF THE KAR.
10) WHEELS – Shall not be altered except for light sanding to remove burrs, etc.
11) WHEEL BEARINGS, WASHERS AND BUSHINGS are prohibited in conjunction with the running gear.
12) SPRINGING – The Kar shall not ride on any kind of springs.
13) DETAILS – Details such as steering wheel, driver, decals, painting, interior detailing, etc. are permissible as long as these details along with the basic Kar do not exceed the maximum permissible weight.
14) ATTACHMENTS – The Kar must be free wheeling with no starting devices.
15) The Kar will be raced in the FORWARD direction only. The front of the Kar will be determined at registration.
16) The Kar must not be of a manufactured type. (ie. model kit)
17) The Kar must be built in the current racing year. Previously raced Kars will not be permitted.
